Shuyan Saga nominated for 2018

Graphic novel-styled game earns nomination for Best Original Interactive Production.

Toronto-based multi-platform producer Lofty Sky Entertainment is pleased to announce that its original production, Shuyan Saga, has been nominated for a 2018 Canadian Screen Award for Best Original Interactive Production.

“Lofty Sky prides itself on creating outstanding content across film, television, and digital media,” said producer and Lofty Sky CEO Jason Loftus. “I’m immensely proud of the amazing teams behind Shuyan Saga—the recognition is well deserved.”

Shuyan Saga is a graphic novel series where action scenes come alive in 3D combat gameplay. Set in an ancient Chinese martial arts fantasy universe, the player embarks on a life-changing journey as the princess Shuyan who must master the essence of kung fu to rescue her kingdom from the evil Guer horde.

 

The game has received 90% favourable reviews on the Steam PC gaming platform and was subsequently featured internationally during its release on the iOS App Store by Apple, again to glowing user reviews. It will be available on more platforms in 2018. Backers of the project included the Canada Media Fund, and earlier versions were supported as well by the Bell Fund and OMDC’s Interactive Digital Media Fund.
