First-ever video game starring Kristin Kreuk arrives on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch after fantastic reception on Steam gaming platform.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — December 6, 2017, Toronto, Canada
The episodic martial arts adventure Shuyan SagaTM is coming to iOS December 6, 2017. A graphic novel series in which action scenes come alive as 3D combat gameplay, Shuyan SagaTM has been available for PC and Mac users on Steam since August, earning 92% positive reviews from players.
“The team at Lofty Sky Entertainment has created a mobile version of the game that players are going to love,” says Producer Jason Loftus. “The kung fu movements work great through intuitive taps and swipes, and the artwork looks gorgeous.”
The mobile version of the series will be available December 6, 2017 exclusively for iOS, at a price of $2.99 USD per episode. The second and third episodes can be bought in a bundle for $3.99 USD. An Android launch date has not been announced yet, but more platforms are coming and will be announced soon.
Shuyan SagaTM is set in an ancient Chinese martial arts fantasy universe created by Chinese comic book master Daxiong, who has drawn previously for Star Wars (Dark Horse) and Justice League (DC). Players embark on a life-changing journey as Shuyan to become a true disciple of kung fu and stop the evil Guer horde from destroying the Five Kingdoms.
The game stars back-to-back People’s Choice Award winning actress Kristin Kreuk (Beauty and the Beast and Smallville) as the voice of Shuyan. It is her first turn in a video game. The game also features over 1,400 beautifully illustrated comic panels, and the ability to control the narrative through player choices.
Shuyan SagaTM provides a unique kung fu experience. The combat includes hard and soft kung fu styles in two main combat modes: Arena and Focus. And it features over 300 combat animations referenced from motion captured techniques of Shifu Longfei Yang, Master of the Shanxi Praying Mantis Style.
